A Grand
Array of Detailed
WORLDS!
I could have given you every fine detail
of one big world, but why stop there? After all, this is an astroscape, a solar
system that can have many planets and many moons. So I've given them to you.
There are 17 planets in Astroscape Zero. Of
the many moons orbiting those planets, 54 are fully detailed (with dozens
more in less detail). That doesn’t even count the Asterband (the asteroid
band), the Radannulus (a band of comets), an asteroid ring around one world,
a tubular artificial moon around another, and many other features. All in
all, there are 77 worlds in the astroscape that are all fully detailed for
game play. World descriptions include details about their atmospheres,
geographies, weather, native life, government, colonies, and everyday life.
Just in case you missed that: Yeah, 77 worlds. Really.
ARCHWAYS & SPACE
VESSELS
And don't worry; you can travel
between them a number of ways. Most worlds have Archways, ancient constructs
that enable portals to open between worlds. Plus, there are magically enabled
space vessels that let you travel between the worlds the old-fashioned way, if
you don't have access to the Archways (they're under IPL control, after all, and
they aren't found just anywhere). And there are occasionally techstuff space
vessels that are found, which might be mastered to allow travel without magic.
MAGIC
Of course, when there aren't any
Archways handy, and no space vessels of the enchanted or techstuff types,
there's always a wizard handy who might be able to open a portal or teleport you
across the worlds.
